The Hudson Middle School Science Olympiad team traveled to Hillsdale College last weekend to compete in the Region 9 Science Olympiad Tournament. Winning bronze medals for our Tigers included Jeannette High and Jackie Shipman in Dynamic Planet, Michael Marry and Jackie Shipman in Keep the Heat, and Josh Heistan and Jake Morgan in Road Scholar. Second place medals were awarded to Jeannette High and Taylor Sunderman in Water Quality, Andrew Enerson and Aaron Bishop in Storm the Castle, and Brie Wilenius, Ethan Sword, and Zander Stiverson in Experimental Design. Gold medals went to Brie Wilenius and Michael Marry in Crime Busters, Ben Sunderman and Josh Heistan in Meteorology, Brie Wilenius and Kelsy Bloomer in Microbe Mission, Brie Wilenius, Kelsy Bloomer, and Andrew Enerson in Mission Possible, Jake Morgan and Josh Heistan in Mousetrap Vehicle, Andrew Enerson and Aaron Bishop in Reach for the Stars, and Ethan Sword and Zander Stiverson in Tower Building.
Overall Hudson defeated second place Emerson Middle School by 10 points and earned their 12th trip to the State Finals to be held at Michigan State University on April 28th. Congratulations to our Hudson Tigers!
