Science Olympiad is a competition that began in the early eighties in which fifteen students compete in twenty-three science related events. These events range from engineering and building events, performance activities, as well as traditional paper and pencil tests. The competition is nationwide with nearly all fifty states participating as well as Canada. There are three different divisions, division A is for elementary, B for middle school, and the C division is High School. Saturday marked Hudson’s seventeenth year participating in the competition. In those seventeen years, Hudson has won six regional championships and four Class C state titles.
Coach Jeff Webb said, “Personally I would like to thank all the coaches and parents who helped out this year. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for everything you’ve done. Lastly a big thank you to all the students who participated this year. You are the reason I continue to coach Science Olympiad every year. Go Tigers!”
